We are finally out of the kitchen except for a few odds and ends. The project shifted to other areas of the house. I'm most excited about the stairs.
Pat set the newel posts on the newly stained base. It took him a good chunk of the day to do this.
I needed to leave for a basketball game and when I got home I saw this:
I’m so glad we decided not to use the old railing pieces. I love this. It is not quite finished, but shouldn’t take too much longer.
Meanwhile, Chad was busy installing light fixtures in the kitchen.
We decided to keep the plastic on this one since we don’t need it at the moment.
He also installed the window in the laundry room and the door for the new entrance into the garage from the back yard.
Tanner is anxious to update the hall bathroom and has been working at sanding the old finish off the cabinets in there.
I put a second coat of paint in the kitchen and started adding knobs to the cabinets.
Seems like a lot of visual progress was made.
