Sectional Sofa

I’m back. I haven’t disappeared from the face of the earth. It’s just that all my expert help is gone. Patrick and Chad are not only wonderful contractors, but they are great motivators for me to get things done. I want Pat & Chad back! Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen any time soon so we will inch our way along and do what we can do with out them.

Since my last post, we recovered from Christmas and I still continue cleaning and dusting and dusting some more. We also have been trudging along with mudding the new walls. When ever we think we are done, we then realize we had forgotten an area so we would dig out our messy clothes and hit it again. I think the mudding is coming to an end, at least I hope so! I also help hubby out with book work for his businesses. I had only dealt with the absolute essential items over the past couple of months so I spent a lot of time playing catch up with paper work and phone calls.

I did manage to squeeze a little furniture shopping into my days. Our living is much smaller and laid out differently than our old house. I used to fit two sofas in the living room. I can only fit one sofa in this house. We figured that a sectional would accommodate more seating so I have been out shopping at most every reasonably priced furniture store in town.  I felt like Goldilocks. One’s too big, one’s too small or the price is too high. Another is too deep or soft or the color or style were wrong. I went into store after store getting rather discouraged and then I found it at Razook’s.  I knew the minute I laid eyes on it, it was the one I wanted. I took pictures and a fabric swatch home to hubby and he agreed. He told me to go ahead and get it. A couple of days later I went back to the store and wouldn’t you know it, it got sold out from under me. Here is a picture of it-sorry for the very poor photography. I didn’t realize how blurry it was until I down loaded it onto a bigger screen. It didn’t look quite so bad on my phone.

Here is a little clearer picture, but it only shows part of it.

beige flexsteel sectional sofa The good news is that I was still able to order it at the same price. The other good news is I can order different pillows-I wasn’t too fond of the plaid pillows that came with it. The bad news is that I have to wait 6-8 weeks. So now we wait. In the mean time, I have been looking for area rugs and dining room chairs. Since the floor plan is open, everything needs to coordinate. It is hard to do that when your primary piece of furniture is missing. Fortunately, I was able to check out the fabric again so my search continues for the other pieces I am looking for. Stay tuned.

  1. That's an interesting choice of couch. It not only looks comfortable, it also seems to closely match the outside color of your house.

  2. I have the same couch in brown, from the same store. I love it!
